A vital factor determining Russia’s domestic and foreign policy is its realizing its own civilizational self-sufficiency, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan stated at a scientific seminar “Socio-political and cultural processes in modern Russia”.
According to him, Russia is not seeking its previous status of empire nor is it seeking to joint either European or Asian society. Russia is just following its own course.
“Armenia and Russia have much in common. On the other hand, they have numerous differences, which would be maintained as evidence of national identity,” Kocharyan said. He pointed pout that the two nations are two different civilizations.
