Russian President Vladimir Putin said there is a serious progress in the Syrian settlement and in fight against terrorists in this country, adding Turkey's leadership also plays role in this process, RIA Novosti reported quoting.

During the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of G20 summit, the Russian leader said that a lot has been done recently both for the development of the bilateral relations and for solution of a number of problems which are of mutual interest.
