At the suggestion of RA President Serzh Sargsyan and the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Armenia’s military budget has been replenished with 5.6 billion AMD and totaled 145 billion AMD, RA Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan stated, responding to the MP Viktor Dallakyan’s question concerning the different between the military budgets of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“We are far ahead of other countries as far as the efficient allocation of funds is concerned,” Davtyan said. He pointed out that Armenia’s partners support the country’s military budget. Also, Armenia purchases military equipment on easy terms.

However, Viktor Dallakyan insisted that the difference in the two countries’ military budgets arouses concern.
