Russia, France, Germany, U.S., UK and Iran are major investors in Armenia’s economy, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in an interview with the Russian РБК Daily.
Prime Minister pointed out ArmRuzgazprom as one of the key Russian-Armenian projects. “As regards Armenian-Russian business, contribution of ArmRuzgazprom is really significant. Installation of gas supply to Armenia reaches 90%,” he said. Speaking of the Armenian-Russian cooperation, Sargsyan recalled energy sector, in particular construction of a new NPP unit, and concession agreement with the Russian Railways.
Armenian Prime Minister also pointed out investors from France and Germany. “Orange company has recently entered the Armenian market. French companies are dealing with the development of brandy market. German business invests in hydro energy – construction of small and medium-sized power plants, as well as mining sector,” he stressed.
According to him, U.S. is working with IT companies, whereas UK and Iran are dealing with banking sector.
