Azerbaijan will sell oil to U.S. as the result of swap operations to be conducted among Belarus, Azerbaijan and Venezuela, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told APA agency.

According to him, Venezuela will sell 5m tons of oil to Belarus, per year, in accordance to contract signed between Venezuela and Belarus.

Azerbaijan will deliver this capacity to Belarus. In exchange for this, Venezuela will sell oil 5m tons of oil to Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan will send this oil from Venezuela to US markets by tankers, without bringing it to Azerbaijan”.
