US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May on Sunday called Russian President Vladimir Putin’s claims of new nuclear weapons “irresponsible”, The Hill reported.
Trump and May spoke over the phone Sunday, the White House said, and addressed Putin’s comments from a few days earlier.
Putin said in a nationally televised annual address that Russia has at least four new weapons, including an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching nearly any target in the world that makes defense systems “useless.” He added that new U.S. policies have "raised concerns" in Russia.
