Sajid Javid is appointed a UK interior minister, UK Prime Minister press service reported. 

“Sajid Javid MP @SajidJavid becomes Secretary of State for the @UKHomeOffice," the UK PM press service tweeted. 

Sajid Javid headed the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Local Government. He was appointed after his predecessor, Amber Rudd, was forced to resign after she had inadvertently misled a parliamentary committee by denying the government’s targets for the deportation of illegal migrants.
