The Organization of American States adopted a resolution to suspend Venezuela from the membership in the OAS, AP reported.
The resolution was adopted with 19 votes in favor, four against and 11 abstentions.
As reported earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has urged OAS to begin the process of suspending Venezuela from membership and participation in the OAS.
Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro, in turn, noted that Venezuela will no longer participate in the OAS summits.
