Moscow is holding a day of mourning for 35 killed in Domodedovo blast. People are laying flowers and lighting candles at the Domodedovo airport were terrorist attack took place. A suicide bomber killed 35 people, among them citizens of the Russian Federation and foreigners. Another 116 remain in hospital, RIA Novosti reported.
The TV companies are advised to suspend entertainment programs, flags are at half mast in Moscow.
Today President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed deputy head of Moscow’s police Major-General Vladimir Chugunov after yesterday’s criticism over security measures at the airport. Yesterday the Russian leader accused governmental officials of not providing sufficient security at the airport, adding that it was in a “state of anarchy”.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, a blast rocked international section of Moscow’s Domodedovo airport. The death toll reached 35 people, another 116 are injured. The explosive device contained the equivalent of 2 to 5 kg of TNT.
