Jacques Diouf, director general of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization declared on Wednesday growing food prices should be regulated, Euronews reported.
If higher prices and volatility continues, the world may face major food crisis, he said. Diouf also called on world leaders to tackle the structural causes of imbalances in the international agricultural system.
