Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan is likely to hand in a resignation next week, Spokeswoman for Armenian Ombudsman Tsovinar Khachatryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The issue is likely to be touched upon during a press conference on February 2. I cannot provide further information, as Armen Harutyunyan is not in the country at the moment. Everything will be clear on Monday,” she noted.
As Armenian-News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan is going to announce his resignation, as he is to be appointed Representative of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia.
