The Armenian delegation to the CE Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) did its best to prevent the formation of the PACE subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh, but failed Lilit Galstyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) faction, told journalists Jan 31.
"Armenia`s political majority is responsible for the formation of the subcommittee. Unfortunately, the country is suffering successive foreign and domestic policy defeats," Galstyan said.
Manvel Badeyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction, said: "We must not downplay European assessments and think it is only our country`s behavior that is the basis for Europeans` theirs decisions. Any decision has its context and many other things behind it. So it would be naпve to account for the subcommittee by Armenia`s poor behavior."
As regards the rejection of the A1+ TV channel`s broadcasting application, Badeyan said that he is informed of the company`s participation in the contest.
"In case of injustice they have to go to law. It is not only the matter of government bodies. Our public is asleep, and we see the result," Badeyan said.
