Continuation of developments in Arab countries of Africa will lead to creation of new Middle East which will have strained relations with the West and pose a great threat to Israel, expert says.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan did not rule out possibility of strengthening of Islamic organizations in the Middle East in the context of recent developments. “This tendency is observed not only in the Middle East but Muslim world on the whole,” the expert noted.

The expert stressed that the reason for the recent developments in the Middle East is a difficult social and economic situation. “It is not a mere chance riots first broke out in Tunis – the most educated country of the Arab Africa. Young people who got education in the Western states are trying to implement western values in their countries, it had happened in Iran and Central Asia,” Minasyan noted.

According to him, Azerbaijan may also face such developments unless it allocates part of petrodollars to social field.
