Today, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is traveling on “special mission” to Egypt and Qatar. He will discuss the situation in Egypt and Lebanon the, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to the source, Davutoglu said that it is important that the authorities fulfill the requirements of the Egyptian people.

The 10-day confrontation between opposition and government supporters was marked by new killings in Egypt.

The situation escalated after President Hosni Mubarak, during his televised address to the nation, promised to remain at his post until autumn. He has said he will not stand for re-election in September.

He promised radical constitutional reforms, which the demonstrators and the opposition were pushing for, and will do everything for a peaceful transfer of power in accordance with the constitution. However this statement did not satisfy the opposition.
