The Armenian Government has granted new benefits to the Spaika Company. At its Feb. 3 sitting the Government decided to grant a deferral of VAT on investment goods to the company until February 1, 2014.
The Spaika Company exports fresh fruits and vegetables from Armenia. The company has imported equipment worth U.S. $11 million to Armenia. It also plans to construct hothouse complex and export jams and dried fruit.
The company plans to create 500 jobs. Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan assured the cabinet the company’s programs are important for agricultural development.
