No swine flu cases have yet been registered in Armenia, Armenia’s chief infection specialist Ara Asoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

However, he did not rule out the possibility of virus penetration in Armenia from neighboring countries, particularly Georgia. “No matter what preventive measures are taken. It will not prevent the penetration of AH1N1 from neighboring countries on the territory of Armenia. Sooner or later the virus will penetrate into the territory of our country,” Asoyan said.

Meanwhile, the specialist stressed that pharmacies and medical institutions of the republic are in store with necessary medicine to treat infected patients.
