Russian, Iranian, Turkish leaders adopted a joint statement on the situation in Syria following the results of the summit in Tehran.

The leaders noted their firm and unchanging adherence to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, as well as the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.

The presidents agreed to continue tripartite coordination within the agreements. In this regard, they reviewed the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone and decided to look for ways for the settlement in accordance with the above principles.

The leaders reaffirmed their determination to continue cooperation until the final elimination of ISIS, Al-Nusra Front and all other individuals, groups, and organizations associated with Al-Qaida or ISIS.

According to them, the Syrian conflict does not have a military solution and can be resolved only during the negotiating political process.

The presidents highlighted the need to support all efforts to assist all Syrians in restoring normal, peaceful lives.

They urged the international community, especially UN and its humanitarian agencies to increase assistance to Syria through the building of humanitarian supplies, humanitarian demining assistance, the restoration of life support facilities and socio-economic infrastructure, and the preservation of historical heritage.

The leaders highlighted the need to create conditions for the safe and voluntary return of refugees and internally displaced persons to Syria.
