As of January 7, at 9:00 a.m. roads were closed and impassable due to a heavy snowfall in the republic.

The Selim pass, Goris-Sisian road section, as well as roads to Zarishat and Alvar villages in Shirak region of Armenia were closed, the Armenian Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The weather caused serious difficulties on Tashir-Gogavan, Lernahovit-Madina and Chambarak-Sevan roads.

Over 18 snow plows are operating to clear the roads.
