Armenian Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan considers there is no social crisis in Armenia.

Talking to the journalists on Monday he noted the country faces consequences of the global financial crisis which the authorities are trying to overcome. “Not a single social program has been halted so far,” he stressed, adding that the developments in the Middle East do not pose a threat to Armenia as there is no social collapse. “Is there any country which lacks social problems?” he wonders.

Speaking of large rally of the Armenian People’s Party the Speaker said he is for pluralism. “Any political party has right to hold authorized mass protests to present its views to public. I do not view rallies of the People’s Party as a threat,” he concluded.
