Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will be the party`s presidential nominee at the 2013 presidential election, Hovik Abrahamyan, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, told journalists February 7. He stressed it is his personal opinion.

"Nothing extraordinary about it. It is beyond a shadow of doubt within the RPA," Abrahamyan said. The Rule of Law Party announced its intention to support Serzh Sagsyan at the 2013 presidential election. The other ruling party, Prosperous Armenia, has not yet issued any statement on this point.
