The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) does not hold any meetings or discussions with Armenia`s second president Robert Kocharyan, Armen Rustamyan, an ARF-D Executive Council member, told journalists February 8.

"Dashnaktsutyun is living its own life, Robert Kocharyan is living his own," Rustamyan said. As regards the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), he said that it is "fused" with power.

"We can see a party-power-state fusion," Rustamyan said. He avoiding answering a question concerning the responsibility of the ex-president, who, in an interview with Mediamax, said that he had called on many official to join the RPA. Rustamyan said he consider it wrong when an official joins a party by order. "One should join a party for the sake of an idea," he said.

He refused to say anything about the possibility of the Prosperous Armenia Party withdrawing from the coalition. "It is up to them. No comments. I do not rule out anything in Armenia. The ARF-D has always followed its path," Rustamyan said.
