"Am I really an idiot that would take bribes?" Vardan Aivazyan, the former minister of nature protection and chairman of the Economic Committee, RA Parliament, told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on a Wikileaks cable. According to the source, when Armenian Minister of Nature Protection Vardan Aivazyan demanded a $3 million bribe from Global Gold Corporation.

"If they have facts at their disposal, let them state Aivazyan took a bribe," he said. Aivazyan threatened to sue anyone that dares charge him with bribery. "If anyone has evidence I took bribes, let them produce it," Aivazyan said.
