The Armenian Revolutionary Federation- Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) is in the Armenian political arena, while Robert Kocharyan is not, Artyusha Shahbazyan, Secretary of the ARF-D parliamentary faction, told journalists. A political force should not be associated with an individual "sitting at home," he said.

He stressed that any of Robert Kocharyan`s interview should not be interpreted as his claim to return to big politics. As to the remarks that in his latest interview, Robert Kocharyan sent unambiguous "messages" to incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan. "Well, now Armenia`s second President will try to jog poor memories by means of his statements. He is trying to remind them who he was and what the relations were during his presidency," Shahbazyan said.

He stated that the Robert Kocharyan that came to power in 1999 was different from the Robert Kocharyan that was re-elected as president in 2003. "Now quite a different Kocharyan exists. Why does a party following its own way have to elaborate programs in cooperation with a person sitting at home?" Shahbazyan asked.
