A 0.8% increase in retail trade was registered in Armenia as compared with 2009 - the last place in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The highest increase, 17.5%, was registered in Belarus, and a 4.4% increase in Russia, reported the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.
The situation in the other CIS member-countries is as follows: Azerbaijan (an 8.8% increase); Kazakhstan (12.3%); Moldova (4.9%); Tajikistan (10.3%); Turkmenistan (16.5%); Uzbekistan (14.7%); Ukraine (7.6%).
Kyrgyzstan was the only country that registered a 2.5% decrease in retail trade turnover.
