Armenian authorities do not do their utmost for Karabakh conflict settlement, Vice-Chairman of “Heritage” party Ruben Hakobyan told a pres conference on Wednesday.
“Armenia has serious omissions and doings in this issue. The issues on re-settlement of the liberated territories and establishment of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as a democratic state are yet unresolved. Nagorno-Karabakh’s status quo becomes an end in itself unless the liberated territories are settled. It is difficult to find a country, whose president, prime-minister and parliament speaker, as well as high-ranking officials leave the country after being relieved of their posts. The migration from Karabakh started when Robert Kocharyan was appointed Armenian Prime Minister. Both Robert Kocharyan and Arkadi Ghukasyan should serve an example for others to return to the country,” he said.
Referring to Karabakh’s democratization, Hakobyan mentioned that the level of democracy is almost the same in Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
In conclusion, Hakobyan spoke of the tension between Prosperous Armenia Party and Republican Party of Armenia, stressing the conflict does not contain political implications.
