YEREVAN. – The memorial service and funeral of the legendary French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour will be held on October 5-6, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
“It is unfortunate that such a pre-crisis situation coincided with the days of mourning. One of the great sons of Armenia Charles Aznavour has died. As far as I know, he wanted to be buried in France next to his parents. This Friday and Saturday will be days when a memorial events will be held. I will leave for France to take part in the events,” he said.
Charles Aznavour died at the age of 94 on Monday. The day of his funeral is declared the day of mourning in Armenia.
