The personnel changes in the Armenian police system are without any political implications, Chief of the Armenian Police Alik Sargsyan told journalists Feb. 10.

“We have appointed more experienced officers in charge of particular regions,” he said. According to Sargsyan, the newly appointed chief of the Kotayk regional police department worked in that region for many years.

Chief of the RA Police Alik Sargsyan issued an order recently relieving Ishkhan Ishkhanyan of the post of chief of the Kotayk regional police department and transferring him to the reserve.
