India signed a $5 billion deal for the supply of Russian S-400 air defense systems on Friday, the Washington Post reported.
The parties entered into an agreement during the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to India, who met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss nuclear energy, space exploration and trade.
Putin and Indian Prime Minister agreed to supply New Delhi with the S-400 air defense system in October 2016.
