Food prices will go on rising in Armenia. The country is located in the region where food prices have shown a rise, reported the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

“The food prices will go on rising, as the world has passed from one crisis to another. Studies conducted during the last 11 months have shown a rise in food prices. As a major importer, Armenia has to take steps to prevent price rise,” Vardan Aivazyan, Chairman of the Economic Committee, RA Parliament, told journalists Feb. 10. He pointed out the need for legislative and agricultural reforms.

Aivazyan said that the Armenian Parliament is now discussing a number of bills aimed to improve the situation in the Armenian agricultural sector.
