Scotland may withdraw from the UK without holding a second independence referendum if the ruling party in the region successfully performs in the UK general election, said Joanna Cherry MP.

Meanwhile, the decision to withdraw from the country should be made with the help of a “democratic event,” the deputy added.

 According to her, it is not necessary that it be adopted in the course of the referendum, it could be another “democratic event”, like general elections, BBC reported. 

Joanna Cherry stands for the exclusion of the right of the Queen to be the head of Scotland and the change of the form of the state system to the republic.
