The ruling coalition needs to clarify its positions on a number of topical issues, Heghine Bisharyan, Chairwoman of the Rule of Law parliamentary faction, told a press briefing in Parliament Feb. 11.
According to her, some political forces have decided on their positions, while others are silent. "It is time for all of them to clearly state their positions on different issues," Bisharyan said. She confirmed the media reports that at the ruling coalition`s meeting the other day President Serzh Sargsyan proposed a new memorandum on further trilateral cooperation. "The document contains a point on the three coalition forces` support of a one presidential candidate in the 2013 presidential election," Bisharyan said. She pointed out that the Rule of Law party is supportive of the document. At its meeting today, the ruling coalition is going to discuss all the controversial issues.
Bisharyan also reported that a number of well-known people will shortly join the Rule of Law Party.
The RPA and the Rule of Law Party have announced their intention to support Serzh Sargsyan at the 2013 presidential election. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is silent. At today`s meeting of the ruling coalition the party is expected to state its position.
