Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is likely to support the text of a new coalition memorandum setting terms of cooperation between the coalition parties in the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled for 2012 and 2013 respectively, sources close to PAP told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The sources say decision has been already made within the party. They also mention Prosperous Armenia does not consider possibility of withdrawing from the ruling coalition.
The memorandum mentions three ruling parties will have a single candidate at the presidential elections. The RPA and the Rule of Law Party have announced their intention to support Serzh Sargsyan at the 2013 presidential election. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is silent. At today’s meeting of the ruling coalition the party is expected to state its position.
Armenia’s ruling coalition includes Republican Party of Armenia, Proesperous Armenia Party, and Orinats Yerkir Party (Rule of Law).
