Ousted Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak went into a coma at his residence in Sharm al-Sheikh on February 10, according to well-informed sources.

Rumors had it that Mubarak had fainted twice while transferring power to Vice President Omar Suleiman.

According to some sources, Mubarak was receiving medical treatment but no decision had yet been made on whether to transfer the 83-year-old former president to hospital.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, thousands of Egyptians demanded an end to President Hosni Mubarak’s 30-year rule. On February 1, Mubarak said he would not run for presidential elections when his term ends in September and promised critical constitutional reforms. However, the situation got strained after fights broke out between supporters and opponents of President Hosni Mubarak.
