The year 2010 proved the most successful year for the ARMENAL plant. The plant`s output totaled 24,642 tons - a 14.7% increase as compared with 2009 (21,500 tons). The plant has increased its output by over 30 times since it was established. Te plant`s share in Armenia`s exports is more than 8%, its share in the country`s GDP nearing 1%.  

An analysis of reports of the largest Armenian companies conducted by the RA State Revenue Committee regularly shows ARMENAL among five-seven most conscientious and efficient exporters and taxpayers. Last year, the plant transferred 1,053.5 million AMD to the state budget -a 35% increase. Also, the plant transferred a total of 247.6 million AMD to the Insurance Fund of Armenia.

The production growth is accompanied by wage increase and optimal headcount of staff. At present, ARMENAL employs about 700 people, the average monthly wages being 250,000 AMD (about $720) - a 35% increase as compared with 2009 and 2.25 as much as the average monthly wages in Armenia.

ARMENAL Director General Vyachelav Sinelnikov said that all preconditions are available for the plant to reach an annual output of 26,000 tons.

The ARMENAL plant was established in Yerevan in May 2000 using the facilities of the Kanaker aluminum production plant. The plant is the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and Central Asia. ARMENAL formed part of RUSAL in 2000.
