China's defense minister, Wei Fenghe, will visit Washington next week, where he will hold talks with Pentagon chief James Mattis, AFP reported. 

According to the source, Mattis made the correspondent statement during the press conference in Bahrain.

"I would just point out that (our) strategic competition does not imply hostility. ” Mattis noted adding “I will tell you that we are committed to cooperating with China, with Russia, where we can.”
