The recent tension between Prosperous Armenia and Republican Party should be considered in the context of domestic and foreign political processes, while leadership of the republic is striving to strengthen its power, expert told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Manvel Sargsyan, expert at the Armenian Center for National and International Studies, said the authorities are trying to accelerate political processes by making certain replacements. Speaking of the recent reports on a coalition memorandum, Sargsyan stressed the Armenian leadership made such statement to clarify the situation within the Establishment but had to backtrack when realizing the initiative failed.

Armenia’s ruling coalition includes Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party, and Orinats Yerkir Party (Rule of Law).
