Rosgosstrakh Armenia is the market leader in the compulsory motor insurance in Armenia, said the vice-president of the company at the February 16 press conference.

According to Rafael Minasbekyan, Rosgosstrakh Armenia has signed 120 thousand contracts, or 36% of the total contracts.

R. Minasbekyan believes that the introduction of compulsory car insurance was more successful in Armenia then in any country in Central and Eastern Europe.

By estimates, over 90% of vehicles are insured. “In Russia, the target of 90% was reached in one year, in Armenia - in 1 month. This suggests that the Armenian people more law-abiding than we think”, concluded R. Minasbekyan.
