The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) confirmed reports saying party’s executive body held a meeting on Tuesday chaired by President Serzh Sargsyan.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am the RPA source expressed doubt that the Prosperous Armenia will agree to sign a new coalition document in the near future. The document envisages the ruling forces’ joint participation in the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled for 2012 and 2013 respectively.

The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) claims they are unaware of a new coalition document. However, in conversation with the Armenian News-NEWS.am, the PAP parliamentary group member Vardan Bostanjyan said they will support President Serzh Sargsyan at the 2013 election, adding he sees no alternative to incumbent president.

Armenia’s ruling coalition includes Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party, and Orinats Yerkir Party (the Rule of Law).
