A piece of the Eiffel Tower’s original spiral staircase of 1889, which linked the second and third floors for almost a century, will be auctioned in Paris on November 27, Barrons reported.

Measuring 4.3 meters tall and including approximately 25 steps, the structure hit the auction for €40,000 and €60,000, via the Paris-based auction house Artcurial.

In 1983, the staircase was cut into 24 sections to make room for an elevator. The sections range from two meters to nine meters in height.
