UK Prime Minister Theresa May held a meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and discuss the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the National reported.
"The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring that those responsible for the appalling murder of Jamal Khashoggi are held to account, and that Saudi Arabia takes action to build confidence that such a deplorable incident could not happen again," Mrs May's office said in a readout of her meeting with Prince Mohammed.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron told the Saudi Arabian crown prince that European countries would insist on attracting international experts to investigate the murder of Khashoggi.
