Administrative Court #10 of Istanbul upheld a claim lodged by brothers of Editor-in-Chief of the Agos newspaper, Hrant Dink, who was assassinated in Istanbul in 2007. The claim was lodged against  the Turkish Interior Ministry.

The court ruled that the police had sufficient information at its disposal, but did not do anything to prevent the murder, Taraf reports. The lawyer Fethiye Cetin, who represented the Dinks` interests, reported that after the European Court of Human Rights made its well-known decision, the Istanbul court`s decision ordering an inquiry with respect of 28 police officers is of great importance for the investigation into Hrant Dink`s murder.
