USD lending has been down in the Armenian financial market Feb 14-18.
The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports that Armenian commercial banks and lending agencies issued U.S. $24,000 loans, the lowest indicator over the last 18 months. Last week, USD lending totaled U.S. $35.6 million. AMD stability accounts for the decline in demand for USD loans.
Unlike USD loans, AMD loans show an upward tendency. This week, AMD lending has totaled 24 billion AMD against 20.8 AMD billion last week. Thus, AMD lending has been almost here times as much as USD lending.
