The German Prosecutor General’s Office joined the investigation into shooting at the Christmas market in Strasbourg.

The suspect Sheriff S. was prosecuted on murder and attempted murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise, CNN reported. 

The suspect, a 29-year-old Cherif Chekatt was convicted 27 times in France, Germany, and Switzerland, mainly for acts of robbery and violence.

The suspect killed two people and left one on life support with no chance of recovery, said Paris prosecutor Remy Heitz.

As reported earlier, three people were killed and 13 injured in the attack Tuesday at the Christmas market in Strasbourg.
