Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will not break the new coalition memorandum on cooperation and will not secede from the ruling coalition on the threshold of presidential elections in 2013, as some experts forecasted, PAP Press Secretary Khachik Galstyan told a press conference on February 21.

He excluded Prosperous Armenia Party’s support to the second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan if the latter returns to politics. “PAP’s words and deeds are never at variance,” Galstyan said.

Commenting on Tsarukyan’s statement that he will step down if he loses the confidence of his party fellows, Galstyan stressed: “The PAP leader meant to say he does not live with politics by going into it. On the contrary, Tsarukyan uses his property for the benefit of the people and will serve the nation”.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Leaders of the Armenian ruling forces – Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia (PAP) and Orintas Yerkir (the Rule of Law), have signed a new coalition memorandum in president’s residence on Thursday. The document envisages the three ruling forces’ joint participation in the 2012 parliamentary elections and the support for a common candidate in the 2013 presidential election.
