Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh announced he will not step down despite opposition’s calls.

The demonstrations inspired by the developments in Tunis and Egypt are holding protest actions calling for Saleh’s resignation.

Speaking to the journalists, President Saleh who has been ruling for 32 years, said he will quit only if he loses the election, RFE/RL reported. “I will only leave through the ballot box,” he stressed.

The Haaretz reported at least 10 people were killed in clashes.
