Rumors that Armenia is not importing insulin are false. Another batch of medicines is undergoing lab tests now, Marine Harutyunyan, Head of the Organization Department, Pharmacological Society, RA Ministry of Health, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Harutyunyan said that today, after the tests are over, the medicine will be distributed among medical institutions.

"Armenia imports high-quality insulin every month. The Ministry of Health issues permission for import," Harutyunyan said.

According to the information at Armenian News-NEWS.am`s disposal, the Natali Pharm Company has begun importing LANTUS insulin produced in Germany. The registration of the previously imported insulin has expired.
