Two people were killed in parliamentary election-related clashes in Bangladesh on Sunday.

One man died when police opened fire on opposition activists who they say had attacked an election precinct, AFP reported.

And an activist for the ruling Awami League party died after he was beaten on the head by opposition supporters, during a clash in a district.

Elections began amid tight security, in a vote that is expected to deliver a historic fourth general election victory for incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
