Despite forthcoming meeting between Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders, numerous statements of foreign experts and officials that the Karabakh conflict is a potential flashpoint, in fact situation in the conflict zone remains unchanged, the expert said.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, head of Noravank center Gagik Harutunyan said the conflict is really a potential flashpoint but U.S. is interested in its speediest resolution taking into account global geopolitical tension. “The forthcoming trilateral meeting should be focused on defusing tension in the conflict zone,” he added.
