Three people were detained amid the explosion which had occurred outside of the Alternative for Germany's Döbeln office in Saxony, the department of criminal affairs of the federal state of Saxony reported.

The alleged attackers, aged 29, 32 and 50, were taken into custody the night before, immediately after the incident. They reportedly reacted for political reasons.

As reported earlier, the blast took place outside of the Alternative for Germany's Döbeln office in Saxony.

According to a police spokesman, the incident occurred on Thursday at 7.20pm local time. Doors and windows of the building were damaged, as well as two neighboring buildings.

Parked cars have been damaged. No injuries have been reported yet.
