Armed government supporters killed two students and wounded 11 people during a demonstration held at the State University of Sana’a in Yemen, on February 22, reported ITAR-TASS, referring to the local press.
The protesters demanded the resignation of the president, Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Saleh has accused the opposition a few days ago. “We are a multi-party democratic country and all the world certified that our 2003 and 2006 elections were transparent and democratic. You are demanding the regime’s departure, let us do it through the ballot box”, he said speaking at a press conference in Sana’a.
